Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Vulnerability & Threat SME to support a large energy sector client in strengthening their cyber security capabilities. The role focuses on identifying security vulnerabilities, analysing emerging threats, and providing expert guidance to improve the organisation’s overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, analyse, and manage security vulnerabilities across systems, networks, and applications.
Monitor and assess emerging cyber threats and evaluate potential impact on the organisation.
Provide subject matter expertise on vulnerability management and threat intelligence.
Work closely with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to improve security controls.
Prepare and deliver clear reports and updates to security teams and key stakeholders.
Support the development and improvement of security processes, policies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Cyber Security, Vulnerability Management, or Threat Intelligence roles.
Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities, threat landscapes, and risk management.
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, etc.).
Experience analysing threat intelligence and security alerts.
Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments (energy, utilities, finance, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
