This statement has been created as part of Vallum Associates' commitment to eliminate the exploitation of people in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which encompasses of:
• human trafficking,
• forced work, through mental or physical threat,
• being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse,
• being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property,
• being physically constrained or having restrictions placed on freedom of movement.
Commitment
The Organisation not only acknowledges its responsibilities regarding modern slavery but also wholeheartedly commits to complying with the provisions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This commitment necessitates a continuous review of our internal practices concerning our labour force and supply chains, ensuring we remain steadfast in our compliance.
The Organisation does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour. No labour provided to the Organisation in the pursuance of the provision of its services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking.
Supply chains
The business's main supply chains include sourcing candidates for clients. Steps
• The Organisation carries out due diligence processes by writing to our Suppliers concerning ensuring slavery and human trafficking does not take place in its organisation or supply chains.
• The Organisation has not, to its knowledge, conducted any business with another organisation which has been found to have involved itself with modern slavery.
• Our employees are expected to comply with all applicable laws and receive training in discrimination in recruitment, modern slavery and checking the right to work in the UK.
• We will continually develop policies and procedures to support corporate social responsibilities.
This statement pursues Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed for each financial year.
