Overview

We’re seeking a number of Software Engineer's with extensive experience in React to join a fast-moving Web/Mobile Squad within the retail division of a major UK energy provider.

Contract Details

• Length: 6 months (initial), with strong likelihood of renewal

• Location: UK-based, remote-first with occasional meetups

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a cross-functional squad, you’ll contribute to the development and optimisation of key customer-facing digital touchpoints. From enhancing web UI performance to refining mobile user journeys, you’ll play a central role in improving how customers engage with their energy products and services.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with React (v16+) and building complex, scalable UIs

• Solid understanding of custom hooks, functional components, and modern state management patterns

• Background in developing customer-facing web or mobile applications

• A proactive mindset around code quality, testing, and collaboration

• Experience with mobile development (React Native or native iOS/Android)

• Exposure to customer experience and journey optimisation in high-traffic environments
  

Squad Environment

You'll work in an agile, collaborative team alongside frontend and backend engineers, product owners, and designers - all focused on delivering intuitive, high-quality experiences for customers.
