Senior Construction Manager – Utility-Scale BESS | Netherlands

An established European energy storage company is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead large-scale battery storage projects (>100MW per project, 5GW+ pipeline) across the Netherlands.

Your Impact

You will act as the asset owner’s representative, taking full responsibility for delivering complex BESS projects safely, on spec, on time, and on budget — ensuring they are ready to support Europe’s evolving energy system.

What You’ll Do

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams through full construction delivery

• Manage EPC contractors, suppliers, and grid operators

• Oversee planning, risk management, HSSE, QA/QC, permitting, and site execution

• Coordinate with finance, contract management, and commissioning teams

• Represent the company toward contractors and local stakeholders

Based in Amsterdam with regular site visits across the Netherlands.

What You Bring

• 15+ years’ experience, including 7+ years managing construction projects in the energy or infrastructure sector

• Proven experience managing suppliers and subcontractors

• High-voltage grid connection experience preferred

• Contract management expertise (UAV-GC, FIDIC)

• Fluent Dutch and English
