The Role:

As a Lead Project Development Manager, you will manage large-scale BESS projects across Germany through all stages of development, focusing on grid connections, permitting, and cable routing. You will coordinate project teams, liaise with TSOs and authorities, and drive projects to the next phase, ensuring timely, compliant, and profitable delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the development phase of multiple BESS projects from site identification to permit approval
Coordinate grid connections with Transmission System Operators (TSOs)
Manage permitting, cable routing, and stakeholder engagement at municipal and district levels
Collaborate with internal teams including Procurement, Origination, and Financing for seamless project handover
Ensure projects meet regulatory, environmental, and social compliance requirements

Your Profile:

10+ years’ experience in project development/management, with at least 5 years in renewables, infrastructure, or utility-scale energy projects
Proven expertise in grid connections, permitting, and cable routing
Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with authorities and external advisors
Fluent in German and English
