​We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer in London, UK.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the AWS/CDP data reference architecture

• Define and enforce engineering standards and best practices

• Lead and oversee enterprise data migrations into AWS

• Ensure data lineage, cataloguing, and documentation standards are met

• Coordinate delivery planning, backlog prioritisation, and sprint execution

• Validate technical deliverables for quality, performance, security, and readiness

• Act as the senior technical point of contact for stakeholders and partners

• Lead knowledge transfer and upskill engineering teams

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, including senior or leadership roles

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS, etc.)

• Proven experience delivering large-scale data migration programmes

• Expert-level Python and SQL, with experience in Snowflake

• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills using Terraform

• Solid data modelling and data warehousing expertise

• Experience with dbt and modern ELT patterns

• Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
