​Freelance Land Acquisition Consultant – BESS (Germany)

An established European energy storage developer is seeking an experienced Freelance Land Acquisition Consultant to support the expansion of utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Germany.

Scope of Work

• Identify, assess and secure suitable land for stand-alone BESS projects

• Engage with landowners, municipalities and local stakeholders

• Lead lease and option negotiations through to signing

• Support site screening, exclusivity agreements and early-stage project development

• Coordinate with internal development, grid and permitting teams

Ideal Profile

• Proven experience in land acquisition for renewable energy or infrastructure projects (BESS, solar, wind or grid assets)

• Strong understanding of German land markets and stakeholder dynamics

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Able to operate independently and manage multiple sites in parallel

• Fluent in German; English advantageous
