Job Title: Energy Services Manager
Location: Home-based (with occasional travel to London and client sites)
Hours & Holiday: 09:00 – 17:30, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Reporting To: Client Services Director
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Energy Services Manager to oversee and manage the energy contracts of a portfolio of 10–20 large commercial and industrial clients. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, ensure smooth energy contract operations, and play a key role in delivering high-quality energy services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Energy Contract & Portfolio Management
Manage fixed and flexible energy contracts post-signature.
Coordinate supplier changes, including debt checks, registration, and objection resolution.
Handle site additions, removals, and changes of tenancy; update supply contracts, data collection, and meter operator arrangements.
Oversee new connections and meter removals, liaising with all industry parties to resolve issues.
2. Invoice Validation Management
Validate invoices manually or via portal, ensuring bills, contract data, wholesale prices, and meter readings are accurate.
Review and deliver invoice validation reports to clients.
Resolve complex billing and invoice queries.
3. Volume Monitoring
Monitor client energy volumes and investigate unexpected variations.
Work closely with the commissions team to ensure data accuracy and commission reconciliation.
Ensure access to actual meter readings where available.
4. Client Support & Queries
Act as the main point of contact for client questions, leveraging strong energy market knowledge.
Resolve client issues with support from colleagues, maintaining strong relationships
Key Deliverables:
Consistently deliver high-quality service to clients.
Support client retention through proactive and effective account management.
Experience & Skills Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the energy sector with a focus on client delivery.
Strong knowledge of electricity and gas markets.
Proactive, solution-focused, and able to take initiative to resolve client or supplier issues.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
Excellent communication skills, able to interact confidently with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
Comfortable working as part of a remote team.
