Role: Electrical project Manager
An established engineering consultancy operating across the UK and Ireland is seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing team. The organisation supports the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects that contribute to the evolving energy sector.
With a multidisciplinary team of technical specialists, the company provides engineering, advisory, and design services to developers, investors, and asset owners. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a professional Electrical Engineer to take on a Project Manager role, based in the North West of England, with travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects, working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate the following skills and experience:
A degree in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards chartership).
Project delivery experience within renewable or conventional power generation projects, such as solar PV, battery storage, wind, energy recovery, hydrogen, carbon capture, or thermal generation.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical infrastructure, including experience across EHV to LV systems.
Experience with embedded generation, protection systems, grid connections, HV/LV switchgear, and substations.
Familiarity with distribution network operator (DNO) coordination processes in the UK.
Proven ability to engage professionally with clients and stakeholders, including leading meetings and producing high-quality technical documentation.
A strong understanding of health, safety, and welfare within engineering environments.
Experience witnessing factory and site acceptance testing.
Ability to assess manufactured or fabricated electrical equipment for compliance and defects.
Experience providing construction monitoring and site-based technical support.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while also operating autonomously when required.
