​Director - Structured Finance

Vallum Associates are partnered with a leading SMR (Small Module Reactor) firm which is seeking an experienced Structured Finance expert to oversee the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex financing transactions supporting the company’s SMR projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of tax equity, debt, and other financing arrangements for assets

• Negotiate key transaction documents and coordinate due diligence with lenders, investors, legal counsel, and advisors

• Oversee financial modeling, portfolio analysis, and performance monitoring across active investments

• Collaborate with internal teams across development, construction, legal, and operations to ensure seamless financing and project execution

• Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other external partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structured finance, investment banking, or project finance, within energy markets, business development, or other relevant roles

• Proven success managing complex PPAs and tolling agreements

• Strong financial modeling, negotiation, and relationship management skills

• Prior experience working with Utilities and/or large industrial/power customers is required
