​We’re looking for an experienced Cost Benefit Analyst who has a good understanding of Identity Management and a successful track record of working in complex and global organisations. The role will report to the Programme Director and be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team.


Department: Cyber Security / Identity and Access Management(IAM)

We are seeking a Cost Analyst capable of quantifying real costs savings with the deployment of our net-new highly innovation modular programme.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to join our IAM team. In this role, you will be integral in analysing job role efficiency savings, opportunity costs, overall cost savings and providing actionable insights to support strategic return on investment to prove tangible costs savings for this strategic high-value programme.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough job and team analysis and prepare detailed reports on potential cost savings, savings trends

  • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of current operational processes and recommend improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to gather data and insights for comprehensive cost analysis

  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence to budgetary constraints

  • Develop and maintain cost models that accurately reflect business operations and financial planning

  • Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics to provide insights into profitability and cost management

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or accounting

  • Proficient in Excel and financial modelling techniques

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of financial metrics and performance indicators

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Expertise in data analysis and financial modelling tools

  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices

  • Proficient in using business intelligence software for data visualization

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments with senior leaders

Location

Willingness to commute to Sheffield up to 3 times per week.
