Job description

​We are supporting utility and EPC clients with upcoming Transmission & Distribution projects and are seeking an experiencedContract Construction Managerto support active and upcoming work across substation and T&D infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role overseeing construction execution, contractor coordination, and site safety from mobilization through turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day construction activities on T&D and substation projects (greenfield and brownfield)

  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and utility stakeholders on site

  • Oversee schedule execution, work sequencing, and daily field operations

  • Enforce site safety programs, compliance standards, and job hazard analyses

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope packages

  • Track progress, resolve field issues, and support change management as needed

  • Support testing, commissioning readiness, and project close-out/turnover activities

  • Provide regular reporting on schedule, safety, and construction status

Preferred Background

  • Experience as a Construction Manager or Superintendent on T&D or substation projects

  • Strong understanding of substation civil, structural, electrical, and yard work scopes

  • Experience working directly with utilities and EPCs

  • Ability to lead field teams and manage multiple contractors simultaneously

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, active construction environments
