Business Development Manager – Clean Tech
About my client
Our client is a fast-growing energy company driving the transition to a more sustainable future. They provide innovative energy solutions that help businesses manage and optimize their energy use while supporting the broader shift toward renewable and efficient energy systems.
They are looking for a Business Development Manager to expand their presence in Germany and support the growth of their innovative energy solutions.
Your responsibilities
Lead generation & qualification: Identify and qualify new business opportunities with industrial and commercial clients, including potential partnerships.
Client engagement: Conduct online and in-person meetings with prospects to assess needs and explain the value of their energy solutions.
Project proposals: Prepare technical and commercial proposals with support from engineering teams.
Trade fairs & events: Represent the company at local industry events and support marketing initiatives.
Customer success: Support project delivery and ensure high client satisfaction post-contract.
Market insights: Build expertise in energy solutions and local energy markets to strengthen the company’s competitive edge.
CRM management: Track leads and sales activities in CRM systems, ensuring accurate reporting and pipeline visibility.
Your profile
University degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within energy, renewable, or technology sectors.
Familiarity with energy solutions, storage, or related technologies is highly desirable.
Native-level German and fluent English.
Strong networking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and sales enablement platforms.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-style environment.
Based in Germany and willing to travel occasionally to offices or client sites.
