With strong momentum in Europe, they are now strengthening their German commercial team to drive further growth in EV charging—particularly AC / domestic and home charging solutions.
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to lead sales growth and market expansion in Germany. This is a high-impact role focused on new business acquisition, partner development, and channel growth across the EV charging ecosystem, including installers, wholesalers, resellers, and distribution partners.
You will manage the full sales cycle, build long-term relationships, and play a key role in shaping the company’s presence in one of its most important European markets. The role is hybrid, with regular travel across Germany and occasional visits to the company’s headquarters (Munich).
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
Proactively generate new business through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and industry contacts.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and presentations through negotiation and contract signing.
Achieve and exceed sales targets for EV charging hardware, smart software, and related services.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the company’s hardware and software portfolio.
Maintain a strong, data-driven sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Partner & Channel Development
Develop and expand partnerships with electricians, solar installers, wholesalers, resellers, and distributors.
Build long-term, trusted relationships with key decision-makers across B2B channels.
Support indirect B2C growth through installer and partner networks.
Market Presence & Collaboration
Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Work closely with marketing and product teams to align go-to-market strategies.
Gather market insights and customer feedback to influence future product and commercial strategies.
Advise customers on energy optimisation, tariffs, and efficiency to strengthen value propositions.
Your Profile
Proven sales or business development experience in EV charging, solar, smart home, utilities, or electrical sectors.
Strong experience working with wholesale, reseller, installer, or distribution channels.
Confident managing both B2B and indirect B2C sales with a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-growing, scale-up environment.
Native-level German and fluent English (spoken and written).
Willingness to travel regularly within Germany.
Background in commercial or electrical engineering studies (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
