Job description
An established engineering and technology business within the industrial water sector is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to support continued growth across European markets.
This position will suit someone with experience selling technically complex equipment or engineered solutions, particularly within water treatment, industrial process systems, or related environmental technologies.
The successful individual will be responsible for developing new business, managing distributor relationships and supporting technically detailed proposals for industrial customers across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities with industrial clients and distribution partners
Manage the full technical sales process, from enquiry and proposal development through to contract negotiation
Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, partners and key accounts
Work closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
Support the preparation and submission of technical proposals and project tenders
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the industrial water technology market
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and market expansion plans
Deliver technical presentations and represent the business at industry events and trade exhibitions
Candidate Profile
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar technical discipline
Experience selling technical or engineered products, ideally related to water treatment, filtration, process systems or environmental technologies
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage complex sales cycles
Confident working with technical teams to develop solution-based proposals
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Self-motivated with a proactive and analytical approach
Fluent German and English
Comfortable travelling for client meetings and industry events
