Job description

About the Role - Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer in E-Mobility, you’ll be the technical backbone of our team. With expertise in both hardware and software, no technical challenge is too complex for you. You’ll maintain close collaboration with suppliers and our product development team to stay ahead of issues and solve intricate technical problems. You’ll also serve as a trusted advisor for colleagues and field technicians.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on migration and integration projects for charging stations. You’ll ensure that our stations are correctly configured through firmware updates, setting adjustments, and managing technical documentation. Your work will directly support the operation of over 5,000 charging stations, keeping thousands of electric vehicle drivers in the Netherlands on the road every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Monitor the reliability of the charging network through management of hardware and software setups.

  • Provide technical guidance and support across the organisation.

  • Lead the rollout of new hardware and software solutions.

  • Maintain and expand the internal knowledge base, including documentation and work instructions.

What We’re Looking For

You are curious, proactive, and adaptable, with a broad interest in technology and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You already have experience or interest in areas like application management, electrical installations, engineering, or software development and are eager to grow your skills further.

You should also have:

  • A technical education (MBO level 4 or higher) or demonstrable technical aptitude.

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

  • The ability to manage multiple projects and maintain a clear overview.

  • Knowledge of safe electrical work practices (VCA, NEN3140 VP is a plus).

  • Experience in functional management, software development, application engineering, or installation technology is a bonus.

What We Offer

  • A monthly gross salary of €3,700–€4,800 (based on a 40-hour workweek), depending on your experience and qualifications.

  • An electric company car, laptop, phone, and flexible hybrid working arrangements.

  • Excellent benefits, including 38 days of annual leave, pension scheme, collective health insurance, and employee discounts on products and activities.

  • A close-knit, enthusiastic team of charging station experts who are passionate about making a difference. You’ll enjoy personal guidance, autonomy, varied work, and a workplace where your input matters.

  • Hybrid working opportunities from our office or anywhere in the Netherlands giving you the flexibility to balance home and office days.
