​We are looking for a Solar Design Engineer in Stamford, Connecticut, US.

Job Description

• Evaluate underperforming or non-compliant solar PV systems through site assessments, data review, and root cause analysis.

• Design repair and remediation solutions, including system reconfiguration, equipment replacement, and updated CAD/one-line drawings.

• Ensure all redesigned systems meet current NEC, IEEE, UL, utility, and AHJ code requirements; support inspections as needed.

• Collaborate with Senior Energy Managers, Production Engineers, contractors, and project teams to deliver cost-effective, field-ready solutions.

• Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports, and maintain accurate records of system modifications.

• Analyze post-repair performance using monitoring data and modeling tools (PVSyst, HelioScope) to validate energy improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in solar PV design, remediation, or system retrofits.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar modeling tools (HelioScope, PVSyst).

• Strong knowledge of electrical design, code compliance, and PV system components.
