About the Role:

We are looking for a Service Engineer Workshop (Werkplaatsmonteur) to join our team in Schiedam. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel engines and related components within a workshop environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals with a technical background who are eager to develop hands-on expertise in engine systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tools, parts, and work instructions prior to execution

• Disassemble and assemble engines and engine components

• Repair, replace, and overhaul engine parts (including basic machining activities)

• Perform detailed inspections using measurements, testing procedures, and product knowledge

• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications

• Identify and contribute to continuous process improvements within the workshop

Requirements:

• Knowledge of diesel engines and a maritime background

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation

• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory)

• Valid EU passport

• Valid Driver’s License (Category B)

• Must be currently living in the Netherlands, preferably in the Schiedam area

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically skilled

• Motivated to work in a workshop environment

• Team player with a proactive mindset

• Open to early shifts and occasional overtime

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday

• Shift options:

• 06:00 – 14:30

• 07:00 – 15:30

• Overtime may be required depending on workload

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: €3,500 gross per month
