My client is a global leader in reporting, analytics, and performance management solutions, trusted by over 32,000 companies worldwide to help finance and data teams make faster, smarter decisions. Their platform spans financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting and controlling, and data analytics, providing businesses with clarity, productivity, transparency, and accuracy, even in challenging economic conditions.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in their pre-sales function, helping prospective clients understand how their solutions can transform their business. You will combine your technical expertise, finance knowledge, and communication skills to deliver compelling demonstrations, build trust, and support their sales teams in securing new opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver live and virtual product demonstrations, tailored to meet the unique needs of each prospect.

• Create and refine demo content and materials for presentations and recordings.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team, internal departments, and prospects to ensure expectations are exceeded.

• Conduct in-depth exploratory conversations to understand customer challenges and identify the right solutions.

• Provide input for RFPs and RFIs, and advise customers on best practices and use cases.

• Keep CRM systems up to date, documenting key activities and insights.

• Stay current with new product features, and train customers through webinars, on-site sessions, and trial deployments.
  

Who You Are

• A minimum of 10 years experience in presales, including at least 4 years specializing in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) with hands-on expertise in planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Have a background as a solutions engineer or practical experience as an FP&A manager.

• Skilled in financial software, statutory consolidation, or disclosure management (a plus).

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, economics, or business administration.

• Confident presenting complex solutions to senior stakeholders, with excellent German and English communication skills.

• Strong in Excel, ERP understanding, and finance reporting requirements.

• A natural relationship-builder with integrity, enthusiasm, and the ability to influence decision-makers.

• Fluent German language is required
