Location:North East England

Salary:£60,000–£65,000 + company car/allowance + bonus

Work Pattern:3 days per week in the office; travel to the South of England as required

Overview:

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking aSenior Development Plannerto join their multi-disciplinary team. You will lead planning strategy, prepare applications, secure permissions, and act as a key liaison with planning authorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project planning strategies and advise on project design.

  • Coordinate planning applications, environmental statements, and appeals.

  • Engage with Local Planning Authorities, statutory consultees, and communities.

  • Provide planning support to operational sites and project teams.

  • Monitor and respond to national and local planning consultations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Town & Country Planning (or related) + chartered RTPI/IEMA status.

  • 5+ years’ experience in planning applications and liaising with local authorities, ideally in renewable energy.

  • Knowledge of TCPA, S36, or DCO regimes; experience with Environmental Impact Assessments.

  • Strong communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and comfortable with regular travel.
