Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing infrastructure and environmental engineering team delivering complex projects across the UK. The role will focus on the design, delivery and management of civil engineering works associated with environmental infrastructure, utilities and industrial facilities.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to construction and handover, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering works including drainage, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks and external works.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Produce and review civil engineering designs, calculations, drawings and technical reports.
Work closely with project managers, environmental specialists and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Manage interfaces with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
Support the planning and coordination of site works, including inspections and technical assurance.
Ensure designs and works comply with relevant standards, regulations and health & safety requirements.
Contribute to project planning, risk management and cost control activities.
Key Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure or environmental engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of drainage design, earthworks, foundations and reinforced concrete structures.
Experience working within utilities, environmental services, water, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Chartered or working towards ICE / IStructE accreditation is desirable.
