Job description

As a PSA Engineer – Distribution_ADMS, you will configure, optimise, and support advanced distribution management systems (ADMS) in real-time operational environments. This position blends power systems expertise with strong software and integration skills to improve utility performance and address mission-critical requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Customise, deliver, and maintain ADMS and EMS including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and DER systems.

  • Troubleshoot, analyse root causes, and resolve defects in the ADMS platform to ensure high reliability and operational effectiveness.

  • Develop, implement, and optimize ADMS solutions to meet business needs, focusing on distribution power systems applications like Volt VAR Control (VVC), automatic feeder rate, and distribution automation.

  • Provide hands-on technical support for Linux and Windows environments, and maintain related system integrations.

  • Support, coordinate, and communicate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve customer issues.

  • Develop and maintain scripts and SQL queries for automation, performance monitoring, and log analysis.

  • Participate in system integration, deployment of new releases, patches, and updates for mission-critical utility systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience delivering and supporting Energy Management Systems, especially e-terra AEMS or similar.

  • Expertise in ADMS modules (SCADA, DMS, OMS) and troubleshooting real-time systems.

  • 5+ years with C++, Java, or equivalent programming/scripting languages in an engineering context.

  • 5+ years supporting Linux and Windows OS in utility or industrial environments.

  • Knowledge of utility distribution network operations, distribution automation, and outage management.

  • Proven ability to develop practical and innovative solutions to meet business objectives in complex environments.

  • Strong customer engagement, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Oracle Database, SQL scripting, and configuration/version control tools (e.g., GitHub, ClearCase).

  • Experience with patching, integration, and support in production utility environments.

  • Direct exposure to GE PowerOn, Siemens Spectrum, or Schneider EcoStruxure ADMS platforms is a plus.
