Job description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a technically skilled Project Engineer to oversee Control and Protection systems for onshore and offshore substations, supporting the integration of renewable energy and energy market systems. The role involves leading secondary technology topics throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate secondary systems including control, protection, and automation.

  • Contribute to the development of technical standards, guidelines, and system concepts.

  • Plan, prepare, and review schematics and design documentation.

  • Oversee implementation and commissioning phases, including FATs, ensuring quality and safety compliance.

  • Liaise with internal teams, service providers, and project partners to manage interfaces and project execution.

  • Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets for secondary systems.

  • Evaluate technical and economic options for upgrades, customer connections, and system enhancements.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or similar.

  • Solid experience with HV protection and control systems (up to 400kV).

  • Familiarity with StatCom, reactive power compensation (SVC, MSCDN), and both primary and secondary HV equipment.

  • Skilled in MS Office; basic understanding of SAP and asset management databases.

  • Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English (B2).

  • Willingness to travel regionally (day trips); valid driver’s license.
