​We are seeking a skilled Power BI Consultant with strong Databricks experience to support data analytics and reporting initiatives within a leading energy trading organisation based in London. The role will focus on building scalable reporting solutions, transforming trading and operational data into actionable insights, and integrating modern data platforms including Databricks with enterprise BI tools.

The consultant will work closely with trading, risk, and technology teams to design and deliver high-quality dashboards and analytics solutions that support real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for trading, risk, and commercial teams.

• Build data models and semantic layers to support analytics across trading operations.

• Integrate Databricks data pipelines with Power BI reporting environments.

• Work with large-scale datasets related to power markets, trading positions, pricing, and risk metrics.

• Optimise Power BI performance, data refresh strategies, and DAX calculations.

• Collaborate with data engineers and data platform teams working within Databricks.

• Translate business requirements from trading and risk stakeholders into analytical solutions.

• Implement data governance and best practices for reporting and analytics.

• Support data validation and reconciliation processes for trading analytics.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Power BI development (data modelling, DAX, dashboards, performance tuning).

• Hands-on experience with Databricks including working with data lakes, notebooks, and pipelines.

• Experience integrating Power BI with modern cloud data platforms.

• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming datasets.

• Experience working with large datasets and complex analytical models.

• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.

• Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
