At the heart of what our client does is taking the ‘noise’ out of project delivery whilst ensuring that we are always engineering best value for money and fit-for-purpose solutions.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Site Manager to join our project delivery teams and take responsibility for the execution of commissioning activities on site for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) systems. This role reports directly to the Commissioning Manager and works closely with Construction, Project, and Supply Chain teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to handover and operations.
Responsibilities
Site Commissioning Execution: Coordinate and manage all on-site commissioning activities for MEP systems in line with the approved commissioning plan and project programme.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and specialist commissioning teams to ensure systems are ready for testing and commissioning.
System Readiness: Verify system completeness and readiness for commissioning, ensuring all prerequisites are met prior to testing.
Testing & Validation: Supervise and witness pre-commissioning, functional testing, and integrated system testing to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
Interface with Construction: Work closely with Construction and Project teams to align commissioning activities with construction progress and key milestones.
Issue & Risk Management: Identify, track, and support the resolution of commissioning issues, defects, and risks, escalating as required to the Commissioning Manager.
Documentation & Handover: Maintain accurate commissioning records and support the preparation of handover documentation, including O&M manuals and client sign-off.
Health, Safety & Quality: Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project quality standards, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Support: Support client witnessing, inspections, and Site Acceptance Tests, maintaining clear and professional communication on site.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular commissioning progress updates and issue reports to the Commissioning Manager.
