Overview:

A UK-based boutique energy consultancy is seeking a Client Account Manager to join its Client Services team. The company provides energy procurement and consultancy services to a diverse range of commercial clients, including those in the Independent School sector. This role is ideal for professionals with strong account management experience and a solid understanding of energy markets.

Reporting To:Client Services Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:

    Oversee a portfolio of fixed-price contracts, including periodic tendering, meetings, calls, and procurement strategy support.

  • Procurement Projects:

    Collaborate with tendering managers on client instructions, site changes, renewable energy initiatives, and tender report content.

  • Client Support:

    Serve as the main point of contact for a designated group of clients, providing energy market insights and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Client Presentations:

    Conduct face-to-face meetings, video presentations, and attend client networking events as needed.

  • Business Development:

    Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, particularly in bureau and carbon data/reporting.

  • Sales Support:

    Assist in acquiring new accounts by reviewing invoices, checking data, and contributing to commercial proposals.

  • Strategic Planning:

    Work with the Client Services Director to refine strategies that benefit the client base.

Key Deliverables:

  • Ensure high standards of service delivery

  • Achieve client retention goals

  • Drive revenue growth through upselling and new business acquisition

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in energy consultancy or related sectors

  • Strong background in account management

  • In-depth knowledge of energy procurement, pricing, and industry changes

  • Proficiency in Excel (charts, pivot tables) and PowerPoint

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

  • Confident communication skills

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to £60,000 per annum + performance-based bonus

  • Full-time: 09:00 – 17:30

  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

  • Home-based with occasional travel to client sites and London office
