Business Development Manager – Energy Storage Solutions (Netherlands)

Our client, a rapidly growing international battery energy storage solution provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth, manage strategic customer relationships, and accelerate deployment of energy storage projects across the Netherlands and wider Europe. Main Purpose of the Role

To present, promote and sell the company’s energy storage solutions to new and existing customers in the Netherlands and across Europe, supporting revenue growth, market expansion and large-scale renewable energy deployment.


Key Responsibilities

Solution & Product

  • Originate new commercial opportunities in the European battery storage market

  • Create and deliver compelling customer proposals and solutions

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop customised offers

  • Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close strategic contracts

Customer & Partnerships

  • Build and execute account strategies and develop long-term customer relationships

  • Engage with developers, utilities, IPPs, channel partners and industry stakeholders

  • Represent the company at domestic and international industry events and conferences

Market & Strategy

  • Understand market dynamics, regulatory frameworks and competitive positioning

  • Share market intel and commercial insights with internal teams

  • Support strategic planning and business case development

Candidate Requirements

  • Sales or commercial experience in the energy sector, ideally in solar PV, BESS, grid or power markets

  • Technical understanding of battery storage systems preferred

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into customer value

  • Entrepreneurial, analytical and highly motivated to drive the energy transition

  • Fluent Dutch speaker required, with strong English proficiency

  • Willingness to travel across the Netherlands and Europe
