Business Development Manager – EV Charging | Germany
My client is a rapidly growing cleantech company on a mission to accelerate the global transition to clean, affordable energy. They’ve developed an integrated hardware and software smart-grid platform that sits at the intersection of energy, transportation, and AI — helping households and businesses make the most of electric vehicle charging and renewable energy.
Since launching in 2019, the company has experienced exponential growth and now operates across several international markets. They work closely with major automotive and energy partners and are continuing to scale up their European operations.
To support this growth, we are looking for aBusiness Development Manager (m/f/d)based inGermany.This role plays a key part in driving sales growth in Germany, focusing on new business acquisition and partner development within the EV charging and renewable energy ecosystem. Regular travel within Germany and occasional visits to the company’s headquarters will be required.
The Role
Sales & Business Growth
Develop and expand a network of electricians, solar installers, and other key partners in the EV charging ecosystem.
Identify new business opportunities, approach potential customers proactively, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
Manage the entire sales cycle – from initial contact and presentation through to negotiation and contract signing.
Qualify and close both B2B and (indirectly) B2C opportunities.
Achieve and exceed sales targets for charging infrastructure and related solutions.
Maintain and grow a strong sales pipeline and explore cross-selling and upselling potential across hardware, software, and service offerings.
Market Development & Relationship Management
Maintain a strong presence in the market through regular client and partner visits.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in relevant sales channels.
Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities.
Gather market insights and customer feedback to help shape future products and services.
Your Profile

A proactive self-starter who enjoys building relationships, generating leads, and closing deals.
Confident handling both B2B and B2C customer interactions with a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Native-level German and very good English skills.
Willingness to travel regularly within Germany.
Background in commercial or electrical engineering studies or equivalent professional experience.
