The Role:
We are looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Southern region. This role is ideal for someone motivated by creating lasting client relationships, spotting opportunities in technical markets, and turning those opportunities into successful, deliverable contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Pipeline Building:
Identify and qualify new opportunities across residential, commercial, and renewable infrastructure projects.
Client Development:
Build trust with decision-makers, understand their priorities, and present tailored solutions that align with client goals.
Deal Conversion:
Collaborate with internal teams to scope, price, and secure commercially viable contracts.
Market Insight:
Monitor regional and sector trends to anticipate client needs and inform strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with design, pre-construction, and delivery teams to ensure smooth project transitions.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in business development or client-facing commercial roles
Strong understanding of utilities, infrastructure, or construction sectors
Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly
Skilled at building relationships, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals
Proactive, self-directed, and results-driven
Bonus Experience:
Working with developers, contractors, or ICPs
Familiarity with electricity, gas, or clean water sectors
Knowledge of DNO/IDNO relationships, GIRS/WIRS frameworks, or regulated connections
