Job description
Your Tasks
The position of BIM Project Engineer in structural engineering, especially for complex projects such as the construction of cable-stayed bridges, requires a combination of technical, organizational, and project-related qualifications — combined with a strong IT affinity.
With a mix of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and teamwork skills, you are the ideal candidate to work as a BIM Project Engineer in demanding civil engineering projects.
Working in our interdisciplinary structural engineering project team is diverse and requires a high level of teamwork and communication skills.
With your solid engineering know-how in bridge construction—especially in structural design, structural execution, materials technology, and construction processes—you will actively contribute to the project team.
You are capable of making efficient and prompt decisions independently when required.
And when things don’t go according to plan, you collaborate with your team to find appropriate solutions.
Your Profile
You have completed your degree in civil engineering (Dipl.-Ing. Uni/FH or equivalent).
You have successfully applied your design qualifications for more than 5 years in civil or hydraulic engineering projects through an independent, committed, and responsible working style.
In addition to your planning experience, you also bring practical experience in executing complex engineering structures, ideally specializing in cable-stayed bridges.
You have already carried out design tasks using BIM processes (e.g., use of collaboration methods and a Common Data Environment "CDE").
You possess in-depth knowledge of developing and implementing Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR/AIA) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP/BAP).
You have experience with relevant BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Desite, BIM-Collab, or similar tools.
You also have sound knowledge of tendering, awarding, and billing software (AVA), such as TWO or NOVA.
You are proficient in practical scheduling tools such as Primavera, TILOS, or MS Project.
You are confident with MS Office programs and have practical experience using calculation and billing software.
With your class B driver’s license and a company car, you are flexible and mobile — enabling you to reach our project sites in the Hamburg area reliably.
You are a true team player with assertiveness and negotiation skills. Your open, communicative, and approachable nature makes you an ideal on-site contact person. You look forward to a challenging position within a motivated team.
