The Polish offshore wind market is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, with numerous large-scale projects underway and a strong pipeline for future developments. The state is investing €144 billion into this transformation. While coal accounted for 80% of the country’s energy generation in 2016, this figure has since dropped to around 48%. Ambitious government targets aim to deliver 5.9 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 and 18 GW by 2040. As the country modernises its ports and supply chains to meet these targets, there remains a pressing need for specialist expertise.
