Project Manager – High Voltage Substations & Energy Plants

Overview

You will take full ownership of complex projects in the field of high-voltage substations (up to 380 kV) and energy generation facilities — including both conventional and renewable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle — from tender and planning stages through to execution and successful handover.

  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.

  • Organize and facilitate project meetings, and handle negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors.

  • Work closely with engineering, construction, and technical specialists across various departments.

  • Identify potential project risks at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain transparent project documentation and oversee structured project handovers.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable qualification (e.g., technician with relevant experience).

  • Some professional experience in project management, ideally within the energy infrastructure sector.

  • Basic understanding of contract and claim management, with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills in German (written and spoken); English proficiency is beneficial.

  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with teamwork skills and a high sense of responsibility.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany.

This is a permanent position full time which will require site presence.
