Project Manager – High Voltage Substations & Energy Plants
Overview
You will take full ownership of complex projects in the field of high-voltage substations (up to 380 kV) and energy generation facilities — including both conventional and renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete project lifecycle — from tender and planning stages through to execution and successful handover.
Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure on-time and within-scope delivery.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
Organize and facilitate project meetings, and handle negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
Work closely with engineering, construction, and technical specialists across various departments.
Identify potential project risks at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Maintain transparent project documentation and oversee structured project handovers.
Your Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable qualification (e.g., technician with relevant experience).
Some professional experience in project management, ideally within the energy infrastructure sector.
Basic understanding of contract and claim management, with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system is an advantage.
Strong communication skills in German (written and spoken); English proficiency is beneficial.
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with teamwork skills and a high sense of responsibility.
Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany.
This is a permanent position full time which will require site presence.
