Job description
We’re looking for an experienced High Voltage (HV) Project Manager to join a growing team within a leading Owner’s Engineering consultancy. You’ll play a key role in delivering HV substation and STATCOM projects (AIS, GIS, or hybrid systems), leading technical packages from concept through to commissioning.
This is a permanent employment role - not open to contracting.
If you have hands-on experience with HV primary technology and a passion for delivering quality engineering projects—this could be your next step.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead technical project packages related to HV primary and auxiliary systems.
Define project requirements and scopes of work for substations (e.g. single-line diagrams, layouts, concepts).
Review technical documentation, equipment specs, and tender submissions.
Support tender processes: prepare documentation, evaluate bids, and ensure technical compliance.
Oversee quality control through FATs and on-site commissioning.
Collaborate with wider project teams on budget, schedule, procurement, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and client requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
Experience in power transmission projects, particularly HV substations (up to 400 kV).
Strong technical understanding of HV switchgear and auxiliary systems.
Familiarity with substation design and interfaces (control, protection, civil).
Proficient in MS Office; experience with MS Visio is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Driving licence (Category B).
Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2+) required.
