​Vallum Associates are currently looking for a Quality Engineer, on behalf of a UK based DNO (Distribution Network Operator).

Our client is a national provider of power distribution and distributed energy solutions which improves customers' existing electrical assets and integrates new technologies to deliver improved performance and commercial benefits. Purpose of the Role:

The Quality Management Advisor will be responsible for promoting and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards across all phases of electrical infrastructure construction projects. This role supports the review, auditing, certification, and continuous improvement of procedures and processes to ensure effective quality management throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure organisational compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards across all electrical infrastructure projects.

  • Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits, ensuring findings are addressed promptly.

  • Review and develop quality procedures, processes, and documentation to align with project and organisational needs.

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers, employees, and contractors on quality-related matters.

  • Deliver QMS inductions, training, and communication to promote awareness and compliance.

  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance through audits and field inspections, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

  • Oversee certification and calibration of materials, tools, and equipment to meet project specifications.

  • Support investigations into quality incidents, track lessons learned, and drive corrective actions.

  • Coordinate third-party audits and champion continuous improvement to maintain certification and performance excellence.
