Job description
Location: Paris / Hybrid (with travel as required)
Type: Fixed-Term Contract / Freelance (12–24 months)
We are seeking a commercially focused PPA Managerto support two high-profile offshore wind projects currently in development and early construction stages in France. The successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up the contractual framework and operational processes to manage long-term Power Purchase Agreements. This role involves close collaboration with finance, legal, technical, and external stakeholders to ensure commercial readiness and PPA compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the setup and operational readiness of PPAs for large-scale offshore wind projects
Support the RFQ (Request for Quotation) and procurement processes related to energy offtake and contract negotiation
Establish and maintain the contractual framework required to manage PPA obligations, including compliance tracking and risk mitigation
Coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between commercial terms, grid requirements, and project timelines
Provide commercial input into project financial models and investment case reviews
Act as the main interface with buyers, regulators, and off-takers during PPA negotiation, execution, and post-signature implementation
Monitor regulatory developments affecting energy offtake and pricing mechanisms in France and the EU
Required Experience
Experience in renewable energy, with at least 2 years focused on PPA negotiation, structuring, or operations
Proven track record supporting RFQs or tender processes within energy infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of long-term offtake contracts, pricing structures, and associated risk frameworks
Experience working with legal teams and/or external advisors to build and manage complex contractual documentation
Familiarity with the French electricity market, regulatory environment, and grid access rules
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills
Fluent in English; French proficiency is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Background in offshore wind, large-scale renewables, or utility-scale power projects
Knowledge of project finance, due diligence, and post-FID project execution
Degree in law, business, economics, or a related technical/commercial field
