We are partnering with a fast-growing energy company delivering large-scale battery storage projects across Germany. To support continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Grid Manager (m/f/d) to lead grid connection activities for utility-scale BESS projects in the high- and extra-high-voltage range.
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring projects are connected to the grid in a technically compliant, economically viable, and timely manner, acting as the key interface between internal project teams and German DSOs/TSOs.
Your Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with German DSOs and TSOs
Lead negotiations of grid connection terms and secure final grid connection agreements
Manage and coordinate electrical and technical grid studies
Ensure compliance with relevant German Grid Codes and technical standards
Define and align metering concepts in accordance with DSO/TSO requirements
Support Engineering and Construction teams during planning, testing, and commissioning
Contribute to overall grid strategy through monitoring of regulatory, infrastructure, and market developments
Establish and standardise internal grid connection processes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues
Your Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Several years of experience in grid connection processes in Germany
Strong knowledge of HV/EHV networks, grid codes, and technical standards
Experience working with German DSOs/TSOs (utility or renewable environment preferred)
Structured, accountable, and solution-oriented working style
Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills
Willingness to travel within Germany
Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
