The Role

We are representing a Global Energy Major currently undergoing a massive strategic shift toward a fully automated, data-driven trading floor. This is a "Greenfield-within-a-Giant" opportunity. You will be a founding member of a high-octane team tasked with building the algorithmic engine for one of Europe’s largest renewable portfolios.

We aren't looking for a "developer" to take tickets. We are looking for a Trader-Architect who can own the journey from a raw market signal to a live, production-grade execution algorithm.

The Mission

• Portfolio Optimisation: Build and deploy systematic strategies for a multi-gigawatt portfolio of Battery Storage (BESS), Wind, and Solar assets.

• Market Alpha: Research and capture value across Day-Ahead, Intraday, and Ancillary Services markets.

• Systems Architecture: Don't just write scripts—design a robust, low-latency trading framework that scales.

• Hybrid Intelligence: Partner with the manual Short-Term desk to create "Cyborg" strategies that blend human market intuition with algorithmic precision.

The Profile

• The Background: 5+ years in a high-pressure quantitative environment (HFT, Prop Trading, FinTech, or a Tier-1 Commodity house).

• The Rigor: A Master’s or PhD in a "hard" science (Math, Physics, Engineering, or CS).

• The Craft: Expert-level Python is non-negotiable. You write "production-grade" code—robust, testable, and maintainable. You understand that simplicity is a craft, not a shortcut.

• The Hunger: You don't wait for permission. You identify market inefficiencies and convert them into systematic value. You are a "hunter" of signals.
