Job description
We are looking for a Technical Operations Manager in Munich or Leipzig on a full time permanent basis!
Must be local to one of these 2 locations and speak a minimum of C1 German
(You will be required to be in office 3 days per week.)
Your Responsibilities
As a Technical Operations Manager, you will serve as the main technical point of contact for a portfolio of wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) parks. Your responsibilities include:
Technical Oversight
Ensure the continuous and fault-free operation of renewable energy assets through intelligent remote monitoring, data analysis, and coordination of field activities.
Performance Optimization
Analyze operational data to identify anomalies and performance issues, and initiate corrective actions to improve plant output and reliability.
Maintenance Coordination
Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repair works, ensuring all activities are aligned with regulatory and technical standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Support the creation of technical reports and maintain up-to-date documentation for all assigned assets.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to integrate new assets into the operations portfolio, ensuring a seamless handover from project to operations phase.
On-Site Inspections
Conduct regular site visits to assess the condition of assets and verify the quality of on-site work.
Electrical Responsibility (Optional)
Option to take on the duties of an authorised electrician (EFK) depending on qualifications.
Your Profile
We're looking for a technically skilled and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You should have:
A completed qualification as a technician, master craftsperson, or engineer in electrical engineering, energy technology, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field.
Experience in wind energy operations, service & maintenance, or technical inspections.
Exposure to ground-mounted PV systems and an interest in battery storage technologies (BESS).
A strong understanding of technical systems, hands-on problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
A structured, reliable, and self-motivated work style with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Familiarity with IT and monitoring systems, including SCADA platforms and renewable energy communications protocols.
