Role: Senior Portfolio Manager – Renewable Asset Trading
Location: Aarhus, Denmark (Hybrid)

Overview:
An established European energy trading firm is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join their renewables asset management function. The role focuses on managing a large and diverse portfolio of renewable and consumption assets across the European power market. This is a data-driven, commercially focused position with strong links to short-term trading, forecasting, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimise a regional portfolio of wind and solar assets (10+ GW scale).
Execute strategies related to pricing, balancing, and short-term power trading.
Lead forecasting model development using machine learning and advanced statistical techniques.
Collaborate closely with trading and origination teams to improve portfolio returns and reduce imbalance exposure.
Leverage large datasets to deliver insight and decision-making tools across the business.
What They're Looking For:
3+ years’ experience in power trading, portfolio optimisation, or asset management (physical focus).
Background in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with predictive analytics and modelling preferred.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment.
Fluency in English required; additional European language skills are a plus.
