Develop and refine quantitative models and market‑making algorithms for intraday and day‑ahead trading.
Incorporate fundamental and technical market analysis, weather forecasts, and regulatory developments into trading decisions.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior and mid‑level traders.
Partner with risk management to ensure robust compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Liaise with analytics, IT, and operations to enhance trading tools, data feeds, and workflow automation.
Risk & Performance Reporting
Maintain and validate risk metrics (VAR, Greeks, stress testing) in line with firm policies.
Prepare daily P&L and risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Proactively identify and escalate market or operational risks.
Stakeholder Engagement
Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers, exchanges, and counterparties.
Represent the trading desk in cross‑functional committees and external forums.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience in short‑term/spot trading of power, gas, or commodities in a front‑office role.
Proven track record of P&L generation under stringent VAR and stop‑loss frameworks.
Strong quantitative aptitude, with proficiency in pricing models, risk analytics, and trading algorithms.
Expertise in trading platforms (e.g., Trayport, Eikon, Bloomberg) and programming/scripting (Python, VBA, or similar).
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring trading teams.
Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
Eligible to work in Switzerland; willingness to relocate to Geneva.
What We Offer
Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus tied to individual and desk performance.
Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension contributions, and relocation support.
State‑of‑the‑art trading infrastructure and collaborative work environment.
Continuous learning opportunities, including training programs and attendance at industry conferences.
Vibrant international office in the heart of Geneva, with cultural and social activities.
