(Hybrid)

The aim of this role is to own and drive the implementation of a significant platform migration program from on-prem to cloud. The role will require extensive stakeholder management at all levels, coordination of a number of different streams, regular liaison with the 3rd party owner of the software being migrated, and their implementation partners, as well as detailed planning and delivery of all steps of the migration.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the programme, ensuring smooth transition of all users to new structure

  • Development of business cases and benefit validation to support transformation

  • Maintenance of regular engagement with senior stakeholders at C-suite and director level

  • Coordination with vendor and vendor partners to ensure all programme plans are aligned

  • Management of a matrix organisation

  • Management of risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring senior stakeholders are informed / updated where appropriate

Essential Skillset/Experience:

  • Significant experience of large data migration programmes, including on-prem and cloud infrastructure transitions

  • Significant experience of working with vendor partners

  • Strong emotional intelligence and leadership

  • Proven experience of large-scale transformation

  • Knowledge of portfolio management principles and practices

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills

  • Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely, suitable for all levels across the HSBC group

  • Pro-active problem solving skills, able to work to under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace

  • Strong stakeholder management capability and excellent communication at all levels of seniority

  • Detailed understanding of financial & strategy planning

  • Experience of working in a diverse global team

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing activities, schedules, workloads and priorities that are potentially highly restricted in nature, unpredictable, wide ranging, complex and time sensitive requires the simultaneous handling of a broad range of issues

  • Proven leadership & strong teamwork skills, seeking to influence within and outside of the team and successfully encourage teams to work together

  • Experience of continuous improvement
