Job Title: Reconciliation Tester
Location: London ( 3 days onsite)
Employment Type: 12 months contract
Industry: Banking & Financial Services
Experience Level: [Mid-Level/Senior]
Rate: 480 GBP/day (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-to-end testing of reconciliation processes, including data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Design and execute test cases for financial reconciliation applications, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
- Identify discrepancies, analyze root causes, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolutions.
- Validate financial data across multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback to ensure system functionality meets business needs.
- Document test results, maintain comprehensive test logs, and create detailed defect reports.
- Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve reconciliation processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in reconciliation testing or a similar role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation tools and platforms, such as [Insert Specific Tools, e.g., TLM, ReconNET].
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis to validate large datasets across systems.
- Familiarity with banking operations, financial products, and regulatory standards.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation tools for reconciliation testing.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CFA, or relevant banking certifications.
