​Senior / Principal Electrical Project Manager - Renewables

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary: £65-£90K DOE

We’re looking for an Electrical Project Manager who can bring strong technical expertise and proven project delivery skills to our team.

Key Requirements:

• Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Project Delivery: Experience managing power generation projects, which may include solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind, energy-from-waste, hydrogen, carbon capture, or gas-fired generation.

• Technical Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of industrial electrical infrastructure, from extra high voltage (EHV) to low voltage (LV) systems.

• Experience with embedded generation, protection circuits, UK grid connections, HV and LV switchgear, substations, and coordination with UK DNOs.

• Client Engagement: Confident in working professionally with both internal and external stakeholders, attending meetings, and producing/delivering high-quality technical reports and models.

• Health & Safety: Excellent understanding of health, safety, and welfare principles in engineering.

• Testing & Inspection: Experience witnessing site and factory acceptance testing, and assessing manufactured or fabricated items for faults.

• Site Work: Ability to carry out site-based construction monitoring.

• Teamwork & Autonomy: Comfortable collaborating within a wider engineering team as well as working independently.
