Job description
Electrical Engineer (K-12, Higher Education, and Mission Critical openings)
Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating electrical engineering efforts on a variety of building design projects. This includes working with project teams and consultants to deliver high-quality studies, designs, and construction documents.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and designers.
Conduct site surveys and coordinate with utility providers for renovation and new construction projects.
Design electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution and lighting, with working knowledge of fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
Prepare and coordinate construction documents for small to mid-sized projects.
Review construction administration items and perform site observations during construction.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Utilize engineering software for load calculations, short circuit analysis, and lighting design.
Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
Develop practical, coordinated solutions to electrical system challenges.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (OR at a minimum has an EIT and is planning to get the PE license)
Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
