Job description

Electrical Engineer (K-12, Higher Education, and Mission Critical openings)

Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating electrical engineering efforts on a variety of building design projects. This includes working with project teams and consultants to deliver high-quality studies, designs, and construction documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and designers.

  • Conduct site surveys and coordinate with utility providers for renovation and new construction projects.

  • Design electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution and lighting, with working knowledge of fire alarm and low-voltage systems.

  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents for small to mid-sized projects.

  • Review construction administration items and perform site observations during construction.

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.

  • Utilize engineering software for load calculations, short circuit analysis, and lighting design.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

  • Develop practical, coordinated solutions to electrical system challenges.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (OR at a minimum has an EIT and is planning to get the PE license)

  • Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
