​Role Overview (Hybrid)

The Project Development Manager will play a key role in driving the growth of the company’s solar pipeline in Germany. You will lead project development from origination through to ready-to-build status, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Salary:€65,000 – €80,000 (depending on experience) + %bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new ground-mounted solar project opportunities in Germany

• Build and manage relationships with landowners, local authorities, and stakeholders

• Secure land leases and development rights for selected sites

• Coordinate environmental studies, grid applications, and permitting processes

• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments

• Support internal teams with input on design, regulatory, and technical aspects

• Liaise with legal, engineering, and commercial teams across the business
  

Requirements

• 3–5+ years' experience in renewable energy project development, ideally solar PV

• Strong understanding of German permitting processes and energy market regulations

• Proven track record of bringing projects through early development milestones

• Experience negotiating land agreements and dealing with local authorities

• Fluent German; English proficiency required

• Willingness to travel within Germany for site visits and stakeholder meetings
