Senior Project Developer – Solar & Battery Storage (Germany)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Developer to join our growing team in Germany. In this role, you will lead the development of utility-scale battery storage and solar PV projects, with responsibility for securing land, managing permitting processes, coordinating grid connections, and progressing projects to ready-to-build status.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate new solar and BESS projects in an assigned region of Germany

• Build and manage a pipeline of development-stage projects

• Engage with landowners to assess and secure sites through lease or purchase agreements

• Serve as the main point of contact for local authorities, municipalities, and stakeholders

• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with local planning regulations

• Coordinate grid connection applications with TSOs/DSOs

• Manage project timelines, development budgets, and external consultants
  

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant degree (e.g. Renewable Energy, Economics, Real Estate, Planning, Agriculture, Engineering)

• Several years of experience in project development (renewables or real estate)

• Strong understanding of land acquisition, permitting, and grid processes in Germany

• Fluent German and good English

  (minimum conversational level)

• Valid European driving license

• Willingness to travel regionally for site visits and stakeholder meetings
