Role: Principal Business Consultant

Location : London, UK-Hybrid

Type: Permanent

• Duties of the post:  

o Providing business and systems analysis capabilities to high profile clients.  

o Exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to deliver high quality solutions that exceed client

expectations.

o Work closely with Front, Middle, Back Office, Operations and Finance business users and be responsible

for gathering and documenting requirements and use cases.

o Interpret business requirements and develop functional specifications and design documents, and effort

estimates, then delivering solutions through user acceptance and implementation.

o Partnering with business and IT users you will work as part of a diverse project team and be recognised

as an Endur expert and design authority.

o Define and implement functional processes and data solutions to handle all system service activities.

o Mentoring business consultants and senior business consultants.

• Qualifications, skills, and experience required for the post  

o Numerate degree.

o Experience of working in energy markets, primarily Power, with knowledge of Renewable Certificates.

o Exposure to and understanding of the full trade lifecycle allied with strong knowledge of the system

business processes.

o Experience in linear and non-linear instruments in a Trading environment.

o 6+ years' experience of Openlink Endur, with excellent understanding of modelling Physical and

Financial Power contracts, Physical Power options, PPAs, and Renewable Certificates an advantage.

o Understanding of software implementation and testing principles.

o Knowledge of more technical aspects of OpenLink such as OpenJVS, OpenComponents, SQL, Report

Builder, is advantageous.

o Understanding of software implementation and testing principles.

o Working experience of mission critical solutions and applications.

o Demonstrable experience of problem solving & analytical skills.

o Demonstrate experience of being proactive, independent and being able to work effectively within and

across analysis and delivery teams.

o Experience of mentoring and supervising business consultants.

o Ability to adapt to changing working environments and practices.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Ability to self-motivate and work without supervision.

o Strong attention to detail.

o Ability to prioritise workload under pressure.
