Partner – Sustainability Strategy and Finance

A prestigious consultancy is seeking a Partner to lead and expand its offering in Sustainability Strategy and Finance, with a focus on driving impactful solutions across key sectors. This role is suited to a seasoned leader with extensive expertise in strategic consulting, sustainable finance, and the energy transition, who thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-profile client engagements focused on sustainability strategy, decarbonisation, and net zero transitions, delivering actionable solutions at the C-suite level.
  • Advise utilities, private equity, infrastructure funds, developers, and industrial leaders on navigating the shift from subsidy-based mechanisms to market-driven systems.
  • Develop innovative business models to unlock investment in low-carbon initiatives, including ESG finance platforms and fund structuring.
  • Shape clients’ sustainable finance strategies by addressing complex challenges in financing innovation, P2X, and net-zero-as-a-service initiatives.
  • Guide organisations in adapting to evolving regulatory frameworks, integrating sustainability goals with shareholder value creation.
  • Spearhead the diversification of energy portfolios for conventional utilities and IPPs, ensuring alignment with the energy transition.

Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, and sustainability, with a proven track record of leadership in high-impact roles.
  • Expertise in sustainable finance, clean technology, energy policy, and climate change economics.
  • A history of creating and implementing strategies that drive the evolution of new markets and business models in clean energy and decarbonisation.
  • Experience advising clients across the energy value chain, including utilities, IPPs, OEMs, private equity, and infrastructure investors.
  • Accomplished at delivering strategic insights to stakeholders and influencing the development of sustainable value creation.
  • Strong background in ESG finance innovation, energy systems integration, and advanced financing mechanisms.
