The Role

As a Senior Market Risk Analyst, you’ll be embedded within the trading floor, working closely with senior traders and desk heads to:

• Evaluate trading positions and contribute to the development of robust hedging strategies

• Build and refine risk frameworks that support commercial growth while maintaining control

• Monitor market exposures, track PnL, and deliver actionable risk insights

• Tackle complex risk challenges with data-driven solutions

• Lead the development of risk models and analytics to enhance market positioning

• Collaborate on the evolution of risk policies and governance structures

• Perform advanced risk assessments including stress testing, VaR analysis, and model validation

• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations

• Influence strategic decisions through close engagement with senior leadership
  

Your Profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in market risk within energy trading or commodities

• Deep understanding of European power, gas, or LNG markets

• Background in trading environments such as utilities, hedge funds, or energy firms

• Familiarity with asset-backed trading, PPAs, and infrastructure like regas terminals

• Exposure to complex derivatives and options trading is advantageous

• Strong communicator with the ability to distill complex data into clear, strategic insights

• Fluent in English
