Job description

We are seeking a ServiceNow Platform Specialist with strong hands-on experience in ITOM, ITAM (SAM/HAM), and Application Portfolio Management (APM). The ideal candidate is ServiceNow-certified, fluent in CMDB architecture aligned with CSDM, and proficient in automation and configuration within the ServiceNow platform. This role will play a key part in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow solutions with a focus on CMDB visibility and health, Flow Designer automation, and Digital Portfolio Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and enhance ServiceNow modules including:

  • ITAM (SAM/HAM)

  • ITOM CMDB – Health & Visibility

  • Application Portfolio Management (APM)

  • Digital Product Management

  • Navigate and apply

    Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

    within CMDB structures.

  • Create, manage, and optimize workflows using

    Flow Designer.

  • Define and maintain

    basic and advanced business rules, UI policies, and data policies.

  • Differentiate and document

    related vs. referenced Configuration Items (CIs) and discoverable vs. non-discoverable attributes.

  • Interpret and apply rules for CI-to-asset creation in the platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement asset and configuration governance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator)

  • CIS – Discovery

  • CIS – Service Mapping

  • Deep understanding of CSDM (Common Service Data Model) and how it supports CMDB accuracy and service visibility.

  • Proficiency in Flow Designer and ServiceNow scripting (client/server-side).

  • Able to articulate

  • The distinction between related and referenced CIs

  • Use cases for CIs in ITIL processes

  • How to configure rules for asset creation from CIs

  • How to identify and handle discoverable and non-discoverable CI attributes

Preferred / Bonus Experience:

  • Exposure to Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) and understanding of portfolio taxonomy.

  • Experience with Service Builder for creating and managing service offerings.

  • Familiarity with Agent Client Collector (ACC) and MID server web socket endpoint configurations.

  • Hands-on experience integrating and optimizing

    ServiceNow Discovery, Event Management, and ITAM tools like SCCM or IBM BigFix.
